It's been almost a year since I posted, but I really want to start posting again.
I've had a really rough few months. In June, I caught strep throat and lost about two weeks of training. After that, I moved into my new house (which is pretty awesome!).
Upon moving, I started feeling ill, as though I was catching a cold. My throat would swell and hurt like crazy. I went to the doctor several times, and they didn't find anything wrong with me. Feeling frustrated, I made an appointment with an Ear/Nose/Throat specialist, and they said it sounded like allergies. I got tested in October, and we found out that I was allergic to 35 out of the 42 things they tested on me. They gave several prescriptions to manage my day-to-day allergies. In December, I started allergy shots. Those things are a BITCH. However, I should start noticing a resistance to allergens in six to nine months. I really hope it helps.
I've lost the entire crit season due to my health. I'm starting to do hill training on Wednesdays, and attempt to diet as well. My first race will probably be the Tolero Crit #1 on April 5th. I want some pies!
I'm going to do my best to post on here regularly. I want to share my training, weight loss, and results once I start racing again.
